Job Title: Engineering – Materials Lead III

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Lead to manage and coordinate the flow of materials, equipment, and components across project sites, ensuring alignment with delivery schedules, project priorities, and operational requirements.
  • This role is responsible for overseeing materials management processes, ensuring accurate tracking, storage, and movement of materials across departments and sites.
  • The Materials Lead also ensures that all records are properly maintained and supports project delivery through effective coordination and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain accurate records of material inventory, delivery, shipping, storage, and location status
  • Monitor and coordinate the movement of materials across departments and project sites
  • Ensure proper arrangement for repair and/or assembly of company-provided materials and equipment
  • Supervise material handling processes to align with project timelines and priorities
  • Support Project and Site Managers with materials-related requirements
  • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Proven experience in materials management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of industry equipment and materials identification
  • Extensive experience with SAP material catalogs and search tools
  • Good understanding of plant operations and material usage
  • Knowledge of quality control systems and procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work across teams
