Job Title: Deputy Director, Sales

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute company’s sales strategies to drive new business and client acquisition, aligning with overall company growth objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring they meet and exceed sales targets. Provide ongoing training, motivation, and performance feedback.
  • Client Acquisition & Business Development: Identify high-potential clients across key industries, including SMEs, large enterprises, and other institutions. Build relationships with key decision-makers to promote company’s products.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies and inform product offerings. Ensure the team is well-equipped with up-to-date market intelligence.
  • Partnership Development: Forge strategic partnerships to drive market penetration.
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Implement and optimize sales systems and processes to improve team efficiency.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all sales activities adhere to Nigeria & West Africa regulations and internal policies. Work closely with the compliance and legal teams to mitigate risks.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), sales goals, and team performance. Regularly update leadership on progress and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine messaging, drive demand, and ensure smooth client onboarding.

Requirements

  • BSc Degree in Marketing or other relevant areas.
  • MBA/MSC will be an added advantage.
  • Must have 15 to 20 years of Sales experience in Beverages and Food. 8 to 9 of which must be at Management level.
  • Candidates who are currently Deputy General Managers, General Managers, Assistant Directors have an advantage.
  • Major Requirement: Must have good experience in Beverages and Food Setting.
