Job Title: Human Capital and Talent Lead

Location: Based in Nigeria and oversee internal and external HR practices in Nigeria and other Procept operating companies in Africa
Department: People & Culture
Functional Reporting to: Head, Strategy & Insights
Administrative Reporting to: MD/ CEO

Role Purpose

  • The Human Capital & Talent Lead is responsible for delivering end-to-end human capital advisory and talent acquisition services to both internal stakeholders and external clients across Procept Africa’s operating markets.

    • Workforce planning and talent solutions

Key Responsibilities
Client-Facing Consulting & Advisory:
Deliver human capital advisory services including:

  • Workforce planning and organizational design
  • HR policy and framework development
  • Talent strategy and succession planning
  • Support clients in aligning people strategy with business objectives
  • Provide insights on labour market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability
  • Contribute to HR transformation and change management initiatives.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Core Function):
Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for client and internal roles:

  • Job profiling and competency definition
  • Sourcing and talent mapping
  • Screening, interviewing, and assessment
  • Shortlisting and client presentation

Design and implement structured selection methodologies:

  • Competency-based interviews
  • Assessment centres (where applicable)
  • Psychometric and technical evaluations
  • Ensure quality-of-hire, time-to-fill, and client satisfaction targets are met

Business Development:

  • Liaise with Procept Africa clients to identify and pursue opportunities for:
  • Recruitment services
  • HR advisory engagements
  • Outsourced HR solutions

Support proposal development, including:

  • Technical approach
  • Staffing plans
  • Commercial inputs
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches
  • Contribute to achieving practice revenue

Delivery Excellence:

  • Deliver multiple client engagements across countries with high quality and consistency

Ensure compliance with:

  • Procept Africa delivery standards
  • Client requirements and SLAs

Prepare professional deliverables:

  • Candidate assessment reports
  • Recruitment reports and dashboards
  • HR advisory documentation

Internal HR Support:
Support internal HR functions across Procept Africa, including:

  • Recruitment for internal roles
  • Onboarding coordination
  • Performance management support
  • Contribute to strengthening Procept’s internal talent pipeline

Knowledge Development & Practice Building
Develop tools, templates, and frameworks for:

  • Recruitment and selection
  • HR advisory services
  • Contribute to thought leadership:
  • Articles, insights, and market intelligence
  • Support development of Human Capital service offerings

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration Psychology or related fields
  • Master’s degree (MBA/HR) – advantageous

Professional Certifications (Preferred):

  • CIPM / CIPD / SHRM / HRCI
  • Any HR analytics or talent management certifications – added advantage

Experience:
6 – 8 years experience in:

  • Recruitment and talent acquisition
  • HR consulting or advisory
  • Professional services or consulting environment
  • Experience working across multiple industries (banking, telecom, fintech preferred)
  • Experience in client-facing roles and supporting business development
