Job Summary
- Clinix Healthcare is seeking a meticulous, experienced, and proactive Quality Assurance Officer to join our laboratory team at the Awka branch.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance in all laboratory processes and diagnostic services.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) systems across the laboratory.
- Conduct regular internal audits, proficiency testing, and quality checks on laboratory procedures and results.
- Ensure all laboratory tests meet national and international quality standards.
- Review and validate test results, SOPs, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage equipment calibration, maintenance records, and performance validation.
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate external quality assurance programs and proficiency testing schemes.
- Train laboratory staff on quality management systems and best practices.
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to the Laboratory Manager and management.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Requirements & Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and ISO 15189 standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
- High level of integrity and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
- Minimum of 3–5 years post-NYSC experience in a medical laboratory, with at least 2 years in quality assurance or quality control role.
- Certification in Quality Management or ISO standards is an added advantage.
