Job Title: Drilling / Well Intervention Subsea Advisor III

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Subsea Advisor to provide technical oversight and advisory support on subsea drilling, completion, and well intervention activities, ensuring alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.

Main Functions

  • This role provides technical guidance and oversight on subsea engineering activities performed internally and by contractors.
  • The Advisor ensures execution aligns with company specifications while facilitating effective coordination, communication, and delivery across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Company representative interfacing on subsea trees, wellheads, hangers, and pressure control equipment (e.g., subsea BOPs, SSTT, CWOR, LWI)
  • Coordinate and oversee surface integrity tests (SIT), recertification, and FAT/EFAT processes
  • Support subsea equipment and ROV-related risk assessments for drilling, completions, and intervention operations
  • Develop procedures for brownfield surveys, subsea equipment deployment/retrieval, and ROV tooling
  • Monitor subsea and ROV service providers, providing troubleshooting and project support
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across project teams and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar subsea advisory or engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of subsea completions, workover, and intervention operations (semi-submersibles, jack-ups, multipurpose vessels)
  • Experience managing subsea system interfaces and simultaneous operations
  • Familiarity with subsea hydraulic modeling, well testing, flow assurance, and production optimization
  • Strong organizational, technical judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Ability to work in offshore/remote environments and across diverse teams
  • Willingness to travel and work extended rotations.
