Job Title: Accountant / Procurement Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary
- The Accountant / Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and overseeing the procurement process to ensure cost-effective and transparent acquisition of goods and services.
- The role combines financial accountability with efficient supply chain management to support organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Prepare and process payroll in line with company policies
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations and tax requirements (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT)
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes
- Assist in internal and external audits
Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with organizational needs
- Source and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, and reliability
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts
- Ensure transparency and compliance with procurement policies
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain an updated vendor database and procurement records
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal control systems and financial policies
- Maintain proper documentation for all procurement and financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service
- Identify financial and procurement risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Prepare procurement and financial reports for management review
- Liaise with vendors, auditors, and regulatory authorities
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)) is an added advantage
- 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting and/or procurement
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and procurement processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
- High level of integrity and attention to detail

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
