The Mandate

  • Our client seeks an exceptional Managing Director to lead its establishment and scale it into a high-performing, digitally driven institution.
  • This role requires a commercially astute and visionary leader with the capacity to define strategy, drive growth, ensure regulatory excellence, and build a resilient organization from the ground up.

Core Accountabilities

  • Strategy & Growth: Define and execute the bank’s strategic agenda, drive market penetration, and lead partnerships and expansion initiatives.
  • Financial Performance: Deliver strong revenue growth through deposits, lending, and product innovation while ensuring sustainable profitability.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure full regulatory compliance and embed robust risk management and internal control frameworks.
  • Operational & Digital Leadership: Establish efficient operations and lead digital transformation through fintech integration and customer-centric innovation.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in executive leadership.
  • Strong expertise in microfinance banking, fintech, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth, profitability, and institutional performance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and established industry network.
  • Strategic, disciplined, and execution-focused leadership style.
