Job Title: Industrial Cook

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our industrial canteen team, serving a large number of daily diners. The ideal candidate must be strong, disciplined, and experienced in bulk cooking.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare large quantities of meals (rice, beans, soups, stews, proteins, etc.)
• Ensure consistent taste and quality in all meals
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Work with a ticket/portion control system
• Assist in menu planning and food preparation scheduling
• Minimize food waste and manage ingredients efficiently
• Work effectively under pressure during peak hours
• Supervise kitchen assistants when necessary,

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a canteen, restaurant, or catering service
• Must have experience cooking for 100+ people daily
• Good knowledge of Nigerian dishes
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Ability to work early shifts (including weekends if required)
• Must be reliable, honest, and hardworking
• Physically fit and able to handle bulk cooking

Added Advantage:

• Experience in an industrial canteen setup
• Ability to manage kitchen assistants
• Knowledge of portion control and cost management

Important:

• All applicants will be required to undergo a practical cooking test.
