Noani interior design was born out of the need to provide quality home decor and furnishings at affordable prices. Having looked through most of the decor services available locally, we thought it best that we give something to desire for the new generation Nigerian who wants their space to reflect a less cluttered lifestyle.

Founded in the month of March 2017, we have managed to carve a niche for ourselves in the design industry, constantly evolving and growing to give our clients a forever cozy space. We kicked off selling only prints for the first 6 months of our opening and after which our founder decided to harness her artistic abilities and her insights for luxurious paintings to pick a dedicated team of painters who work hand-in-hand with us to achieve each customer’s dream painting need at an affordable rate.

Finally, having mastered this market, we added on interior design and consultation services to our list. We’ve specialized only on contemporary decor and designs and we’ve gotten to work on some really amazing projects that have become really dear to us.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant / Finance Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Description

  • Noani Home and Design, aluxury interior and home décor brand is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and commercially minded Accountant / Finance Officer to join our growing team.
  • This role is ideal for someone who understands financial control, project profitability, revenue tracking, and operational discipline. We are looking for a candidate who can manage company finances with accuracy, structure, and strong ownership.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all income, expenses, project finances, and financial records are properly tracked, controlled, and reported.

Role Responsibilities
Invoicing & Revenue Control:

  • Generate and issue invoices based on approved pricing
  • Track incoming payments across design fees, procurement, and project management services
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain a clear receivables tracker.

Expense & Procurement Tracking:

  • Record all company expenses (projects + operational expenses)
  • Track procurement spend across projects
  • Ensure spending aligns with approved budgets
  • Flag unusual, excessive, or unapproved expenses immediately.

Project Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare financial summaries for each project, including:
    • Total client payments
    • Total project spend
    • Profit margins
  • Monitor project profitability and financial performance.

Bookkeeping & Financial Records:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Zoho Books preferred or similar systems)
  • Reconcile bank accounts regularly
  • Categorize transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Track inflow vs outflow of funds
  • Prepare weekly or bi-weekly cash position reports
  • Alert management proactively on projected cash shortfalls.

Financial Reporting
Prepare and submit:

  • Monthly Profit & Loss reports
  • Cash flow reports
  • Expense reports
  • Project profitability summaries.

Payroll Management:

  • Process staff salaries accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Manage salary schedules, deductions, and payroll confidentiality.

Tax & Compliance:

  • Prepare financial records for tax filing
  • Track VAT and statutory obligations
  • Liaise with tax consultants or auditors when required.

Internal Financial Controls:

  • Ensure no payments are processed without proper approval
  • Implement and maintain strong financial checks and controls
  • Prevent leakage, fraud, and sloppy spending.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting experience
  • Experience with payroll management
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent reporting and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally.

Important Note:

  • This is not a basic bookkeeping role.
