We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supply Chain / Logistics Officer

Location: Ajao Estate, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

ROLE PURPOSE

  • The Supply Chain / Logistics Officer ensures the smooth, cost-effective flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished water products from suppliers to production and from factory to customers.
  • The role is critical for maintaining production continuity, minimizing stockouts, controlling distribution costs, and ensuring timely delivery while upholding quality and regulatory standards for drinking water.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials: preforms, caps, labels, shrink film, chemicals, and filters.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts. Investigate and report variances.
  • Manage FIFO/FEFO for all materials to prevent expiry and ensure water safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/inventory system.

Production Support:

  • Coordinate with Production Manager on daily/weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
  • Issue materials to production lines based on BOMs and track consumption vs standard.
  • Flag potential shortages or quality issues with incoming materials before they disrupt production.

Logistics & Distribution:

  • Plan and schedule daily dispatch of finished goods: bottled water, sachets, dispensers.
  • Optimize delivery routes to reduce fuel costs and ensure on-time delivery to distributors, supermarkets, and key accounts.
  • Coordinate with drivers and 3PL partners. Verify vehicle condition, licensing, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure proper loading practices to prevent damage and contamination during transit.
  • Track deliveries and handle proof of delivery documentation.

Warehousing & Compliance:

  • Supervise warehouse operations for raw materials and finished goods. Ensure clean, dry, pest-free storage per NAFDAC/Food Safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce GMP and HACCP requirements in storage areas.
  • Manage returned goods and damaged stock. Coordinate with QA for disposal or rework.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Cost Control & Reporting:

  • Track logistics KPIs: delivery OTIF, transport cost per case, inventory turns, stockout rate.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in transport, warehousing, and packaging.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on stock levels, delivery performance, and logistics costs.
  • Assist in supplier evaluation and negotiation for transport and packaging materials.

Documentation & Coordination:

  • Prepare and verify waybills, delivery notes, gate passes, and GRNs.
  • Liaise with QA, Production, Sales, and Finance to resolve supply or delivery issues.
  • Support audits by providing accurate inventory and distribution records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/HND/OND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in supply chain/logistics, preferably in FMCG, beverage, or food production.
  • Experience handling perishable goods or bottled water is a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of food safety standards: HACCP, GMP, NAFDAC regulations.

Skills:

  • Strong organization, supervisory, and reporting skills.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.

Salary
N100,000 monthly + N50,000 commission
