Job Title: Chief Cashier
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Chief Cashier is responsible for overseeing all cashiering activities at the Osapa branch, ensuring accuracy in transactions, proper cash handling, and efficient customer service.
- The role involves supervising cashiers, maintaining financial integrity, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Operations Management:
- Supervise daily cashier activities and ensure smooth operations at all tills.
- Monitor cash inflow and outflow, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Conduct daily cash reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation of all cash and POS transactions.
Team Supervision:
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of all cashiers.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Train, mentor, and guide cashiers on best practices and customer service standards.
- Enforce discipline and adherence to company policies.
Financial Control & Reporting:
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.
- Monitor sales records and ensure alignment with system reports.
- Escalate any financial irregularities or discrepancies to management.
- Ensure proper handling and safe custody of cash at all times.
Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer experience at all payment points.
- Handle escalated customer complaints related to payments or billing.
- Maintain professionalism and efficiency in service delivery.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and financial control policies.
- Support internal audits and provide required documentation.
- Identify gaps in cashiering processes and recommend improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years experience in cashiering or retail finance (supervisory role preferred)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic accounting tools
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
- Retail environment with extended hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
