We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Performance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Role Summary

  • The Performance Officer is a critical intelligence function responsible for driving organizational visibility, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • You will ensure that business activities, particularly within mining, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, align with strategic objectives through robust frameworks, data-driven insights, and actionable improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framework & KPI Development: Design, implement, and refine performance metrics and benchmarking frameworks to ensure standardized measurement across all departments.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Collect and validate operational and financial data; conduct trend and variance analysis to translate complex datasets into actionable executive insights.
  • Target Setting & Planning: Collaborate with department heads to define realistic KPIs, ensuring alignment between individual goals and organizational strategy.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain periodic performance evaluations (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and prepare interactive dashboards to highlight risks and opportunities for senior management.
  • Root Cause & Process Optimization: Conduct deep-dive analysis into performance gaps, identify production bottlenecks, and lead evidence-based corrective action plans.
  • Sector-Specific Analysis: Drive efficiency within industrial workflows by identifying resource utilization gaps and cost-saving opportunities unique to mining and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4–7 years in performance management, business analysis, or operations analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in KPI development, data visualization (BI tools), and performance tracking.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong background in industrial, mining, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Attributes: Analytical mindset with the ability to promote a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.
