We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HORECA Sales Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To drive sales growth and business expansion within the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering) segment by developing strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and promoting the company’s range of processed and frozen poultry products.
  • The role focuses on achieving volume and revenue targets while ensuring superior customer satisfaction and brand visibility.

Roles and Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the HORECA channel (hotels, restaurants, catering companies, quick service restaurants, and institutions).
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Conduct market intelligence to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the food service sector.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations.

Account Management:

  • Manage existing HORECA accounts to ensure repeat business, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional agreements in line with company policies.
  • Monitor sales performance and payment collection for assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with the logistics and production teams to ensure consistent product availability and order fulfilment.

Marketing and Brand Visibility:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to implement trade marketing activities and in-store promotions.
  • Recommend new product ideas and packaging innovations based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure proper branding and product display at customer outlets and promotional events.

Performance Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Track sales metrics such as volume growth, market share, customer retention, and margin performance.
  • Provide forecasts and sales projections for business planning purposes.

Team Coordination and Support:

  • Supervise and support HORECA sales officers or representatives in the region.
  • Conduct training sessions on product knowledge, customer service, and selling techniques.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, finance, and logistics teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Growth in HORECA customer base and retention rate
  • Customer satisfaction and service quality ratings
  • Timeliness of payments and credit control compliance
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reports and forecasts

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc./HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, preferably within the FMCG, food service, or hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of developing and managing HORECA or institutional accounts
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of food distribution and cold chain logistics
