Job Summary
- We are seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Communications Officer to support the organization’s internal and external communication initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will help drive brand visibility, manage communication channels, create engaging content, support stakeholder engagement efforts, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- This role is ideal for someone with strong writing skills, media awareness, digital communication expertise, and the ability to manage multiple communication priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for newsletters, announcements, website updates, and social media platforms
- Draft press releases, internal memos, speeches, announcements, and stakeholder communication materials
- Manage internal communication channels and ensure employees receive timely updates on organizational initiatives
- Coordinate communication materials with external agencies, designers, and media partners where required
- Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility
- Support media relations efforts, including interview coordination and responding to media inquiries
- Assist in planning communication for events, CSR initiatives, conferences, and stakeholder engagements
- Monitor social media trends, engagement metrics, and public sentiment
- Support crisis communication efforts by assisting leadership with timely communication responses
- Ensure all communication materials align with brand guidelines and messaging standards
- Prepare reports on communication campaign performance and recommend improvements
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, media, or digital communications
- Experience working in a corporate or agency environment is an added advantage
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong content writing and storytelling ability
- Social media management skills
- Media relations experience
- Knowledge of digital communication tools and analytics platforms
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Basic graphic design knowledge is an added advantage
Salary
N40,000 - N550,000 / Month.
