We are a fast-growing pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing company (with a collective turnover exceeding N5bn in 2025 and a 5-year growth trajectory to N21bn+). They include multinational and indigenous concerns with strong presence in antibiotics, anti-malaria, diabetes, oncology, urology, cardiovascular, premium multivitamins and analgesic segments.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant General Manager / Chief Operating Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting to: MD/Board

Job Summary

  • We seek disciplined, high-personal drive, result-oriented leaders and field staff ready to drive ethical demand generation, hospital promotion, productivity and commercial performance.

The Role

  • Run day-to-day business operations with minimal supervision.
    Deliver operating profit and provide strong leadership across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain/ Importation, and HR. Act as the MD's trusted representative.

Key Accountabilities

  • Overall business performance (revenue growth, operating profit, cash discipline).
  • Control of a large pharmaceutical sales force, credit control, and collections.
  • Operational efficiency: warehousing, clearing, distribution.
  • People leadership, performance management, organisational discipline.
  • NAFDAC, PCN, and internal governance compliance.

Requirements

  • 16-20 years' experience in Nigerian pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior commercial or general management role.
  • Proven track record in business leadership, profitability, and cost control.
  • Strong competence in sales force management, demand generation, and collections.
  • High integrity, follow-through, ownership mindset, decision maturity.

Monthly Compensation
N1,500,000 + official company car + family HMO (up to 4 members) + pension + quarterly performance incentive.
