We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal and Compliance Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Legal and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s legal matters and ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • This role provides legal guidance, mitigates risks, and promotes ethical business practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:

  • Provide legal advice to management on business operations, contracts, and regulatory issues
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel

Compliance Management:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and policies
  • Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments

Risk Management:

  • Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Maintain a risk register and track compliance issues

Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best practices
  • Support board and management with governance-related matters
  • Maintain statutory records and filings

Regulatory Liaison:

  • Interface with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise the organization accordingly

Training & Awareness:

  • Conduct compliance training for employees
  • Promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organization

Investigations & Reporting:

  • Handle internal investigations related to compliance breaches
  • Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
