Ibadan Business School (RC: 972642) was incorporated on the 17th day of August, 2011 under the Company and Allied Matters Act 1990 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the primary objective of promoting the growth and advancement of business education within and outside Africa. The School is also licensed by the Centre for Management Development (CMD) of Nigeria- the operational arm of the Nigerian Council for Management Development (NCMD) which is the statutory body charged with the responsibility of regulating the standards of Training and Development Institutions in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal Adviser

Location: Oyo

Responsibilities

• Development of Privacy Policy and Data Protection Framework
• Preparation of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for programme sponsors
• Drafting of Participant Agreements and Consent Forms
• Ensuring Regulatory and Institutional Compliance
• Support entrepreneurs in understanding Legal Risk Assessment and Mitigation Planning
• Provide legal guidance to programme participants on:Business formation and structuring, drafting simple contracts and agreements, and regulatory compliance requirements (FIRS, SMEDAN)
• Support entrepreneurs in their business registration and incorporation (CAC processes)

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of First Degree in Law (LL.B) with 2 -3 years relevant professional experience
• Must be a qualified Legal Practitioner
• Strong knowledge of: Business and commercial law, Corporate practice and compliance, and MSMEs and startup legal frameworks in Nigeria
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a virtual/online learning environment
