Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a liaison between psychiatrists and patients while also managing billing and administrative coordination.
- The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless patient care, accurate documentation, and efficient billing processes in a virtual care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Liaison Functions:
- Act as the primary point of contact between patients and psychiatrists/therapists
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and care plans
- Support psychiatrists with patient intake, documentation, and care tracking
- Monitor patient progress and escalate clinical concerns when necessary
- Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Billing & Administrative Functions:
- Manage patient billing, invoicing, and payment reconciliation
- Verify insurance details and assist with claims processing
- Maintain accurate records of consultations, services rendered, and billing codes
- Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams
- Prepare periodic billing and financial reports
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience, preferably in mental health or clinical coordination roles
- Working knowledge of psychiatric care processes
- Experience with medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Ability to work remotely and manage cross-time-zone responsibilities
