Job Title: Instrumentation & Control Technician

Job Description
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing instruments and control systems used to monitor and regulate industrial processes. They ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safe operation of equipment in industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, power generation, and utilities.
- This role is suited for professionals with Electrical & Maintenance experience within the Oil and gas servicing sector who can effectively minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate fundamental understanding of instrumentation and control principles such as sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control loops.
- Can perform basic tasks such as reading process diagrams, calibrating simple instruments, mounting instrument valve blocks, and assisting with routine maintenance of miniature circuit breakers and other equipment under supervision
- Use simple tools such as multimeters and insulation testers under supervision
- Review, approve, and implement maintenance designs, work scopes, and method statements
- Understand and apply fundamental principles as it applies to established processes, safety and quality standards, as well as continuous improvement activities
- Close all Trouble Memos within defined timelines
- Ensure the availability of spares through frequent checking with inventory.
- Ensure resolution of assigned Trouble Memos
- Safety compliance
- Undertake any other task or duties as assigned
Requirements
- HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Trade Test with 2-5 years of experience in the Engineering field and the power industry.
- Technical knowledge of fuses, terminal blocks, and miniature circuit breakers
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures with respect to instrumentation
- Knowledge of basic safety requirements and environmental aspects.
- Practical experience in calibration of process control instruments and field devices.
- Spares inventory management for I&C spares.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to details
- Leadership competencies.
