Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Inventory Officer to join our inventory team in maintaining accurate stock records and optimizing supply chain workflows.
- You will play a vital role in monitoring stock levels, processing incoming deliveries, and ensuring the physical integrity of our warehouse inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Inventory Manager in daily stock counts and periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure all items are appropriately labeled and shelved.
- Update the inventory management system in real-time to reflect stock movements, transfers, and disposals.
- Monitor stock usage patterns and alert management when items reach minimum reorder levels.
- Prepare reports on stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and slow-moving items.
- Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to facilitate smooth stock replenishment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse, retail, or inventory clerk role.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and data entry software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving boxes, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow strict documentation protocols.
