Job Title: Senior Accountant

About this role
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our corporate accounting records.
- In this role, you will manage complex reconciliations, lead month-end closing processes, and provide critical financial insights to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Perform complex bank, inventory, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Manage tax compliance, including sales tax filings and coordination with external auditors for annual reviews.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement internal controls to improve data integrity.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level capacity.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume transactions with extreme accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with inventory management and COGS analysis.
