Bechem Ventures Limited - Our client, a Fish farm and Palm oil plantation located at Isoko, Delta State, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fish Farm Manager

Location: Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Calculating and supervising feeding regimes to ensure optimal growth rates and minimize waste.
• Monitoring stock for signs of disease or stress, performing health checks, and coordinating with veterinarians for treatments.
• Planning the lifecycle of the fish, from managing hatcheries or receiving fingerlings to coordinating the harvest and transport to market.
• Managing the costs of feed, labor, and utilities while forecasting production yields.
• Ensuring the farm meets environmental standards, waste management protocols, and health and safety legislation.
• Directing the work of technicians and laborers, ensuring they are trained in safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma in Aquaculture, Marine Biology or Fisheries Management. However, significant hands-on experience as a farm technician is valued.
• Must have at leas 4 years experience
• A deep understanding of fish biology and aquaculture systems (such as Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) or open-water cages).
• The ability to react quickly to emergencies, such as equipment failure or sudden changes in water chemistry.

Renumeration 

• N200,000 - N300,000 / Month (Gross).
• Accomodation: Full time accomodation and other bonuses.
