Job Title: Bids and Sourcing Specialist (Upstream Oil and Gas, IOC and NOC)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Understand customers’ needs and requirements and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closure.
  • Represents the executives in Pre-Bid meetings/conferences.
  • Manage a response to 'Request for Tenders' (RFT), 'Request for Proposals' (RFP) or ‘Request for Quote’ (RFQ) issued by purchasing authorities.
  • Perform sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business.
  • Liaise with the sales team to ensure proper pre and post sales service.
  • Manages and coordinates information from technical specialists, customers, cost estimators and others involved in the bidding process.
  • Manage the sales order processing from customer order placement, to follow up on coordination with the invoicing process, logistics, payment receipt, and delivery to customer.
  • Source new sales opportunities through cold calls and emails and conduct research on prospective clients.
  • Act as the point of contact for the different clients and handle all communication and inquires, from order placement until final payment.
  • Provide regular feedback to senior management about marketplace and competitor activity.
