Job Title: DevOps & Network Engineer (Fintech – POS & Payment Systems)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps & Network Engineer with strong experience in fintech infrastructure, POS deployments, and high-availability payment systems.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing CI / CD pipelines, cloud-native microservices infrastructure, and secure network connectivity for POS terminals, payment gateways, and transaction switching systems.
- This role requires hands-on expertise in ensuring 99.9% + uptime for real-time financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Infrastructure (Fintech-Focused):
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fintech applications and APIs.
- Manage microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes clusters.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of payment processing systems.
- Manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies.
- Implement DevSecOps practices aligned with PCI-DSS standards.
- Optimize system performance for high transaction throughput.
- Maintain database reliability for wallet systems and reconciliation engines.
POS Deployment & Management:
- Configure, deploy, and remotely manage POS terminals across multiple regions.
- Set up secure VPN tunnels between POS devices and backend servers.
- Monitor terminal uptime and transaction success rates.
- Implement device management solutions (MDM/EMM) for POS fleets.
- Troubleshoot and handle 1st level repairs, field network and transaction failures.
- Coordinate with telecom providers for APN configurations.
- Ensure secure encryption and key management for POS communications.
- Support firmware updates and remote patches for deployed devices.
Network Engineering & Security:
- Design secure fintech network architecture (segmentation, DMZ, zero-trust).
- Manage firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS systems.
- Configure load balancers (HAProxy, NGINX, F5).
- Implement secure API gateways and reverse proxies.
- Maintain redundancy across primary and secondary data centers.
- Monitor network latency affecting transaction processing.
- Implement DDoS protection strategies.
- Manage DNS, SSL certificates, and secure communication channels.
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- System uptime ≥ 99.9%
- POS terminal uptime ≥ 98%
- Transaction success rate
- Deployment frequency & rollback rate
- Incident resolution time (MTTR)
- Compliance audit success rate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 – 8 years of experience in DevOps, network engineering, or fintech infrastructure.
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Experience managing high-availability production environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP/OSPF routing.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with payment systems, switching, or POS ecosystems.
- Understanding of PCI-DSS and financial compliance standards.
- Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python).
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Cisco CCNA / CCNP
- PCI-DSS Implementation certification
- ITIL Foundation.
