We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Helper / Support Personnel
Location: Lagos
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist crane operators, forklift operators, and riggers during lifting and material handling operations.
- Support in loading and unloading materials from trucks, trailers, or storage areas.
- Help in moving materials, tools, and lifting accessories to designated work areas.
- Assist in positioning, aligning, and securing loads under supervision.
- Ensure lifting accessories (slings, shackles, hooks, chains, etc.) are available and properly arranged before operations.
- Carry out basic equipment cleaning and routine checks as directed.
- Maintain proper housekeeping before, during, and after lifting operations.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, crane operators, forklift operators, and riggers.
- Observe safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in barricading and securing lifting areas to prevent unauthorized access.
- Support in manual handling tasks when required.
- Participate in Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and safety briefings.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Engineering
- 1 - 2 years experience
- Basic knowledge of lifting operations and safety practices is an advantage.
- Relevant safety training (e.g., basic HSE training) is an added advantage.
