Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Sector: FMCG (Bottling)
Work Structure: Shift-Based

Job Summary

  • We are hiring mechanical engineers who will support plant operations by ensuring efficient machine performance, minimizing downtime, and driving effective maintenance practices across the production line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support plant-wide machine repairs during shifts to minimize downtime and production losses
  • Analyse mechanical and production data to improve operational efficiency
  • Execute corrective maintenance and ensure effective troubleshooting and knowledge transfer
  • Manage repair activities and machine modification processes
  • Supervise and evaluate maintenance and shift technicians on fault resolution
  • Train technicians and operators on basic machine repairs and maintenance practices
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of mechanical spare parts
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and technical support
  • Analyse machine breakdown history and implement strategies to reduce repair time
  • Conduct performance and fault analysis on plant machinery
  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair policies

Requirements

  • First degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Membership of NSE and COREN certification is required
  • Minimum of 10 years post-NYSC experience in a structured FMCG (bottling) company
  • Strong hands-on experience with Krones machines is essential
  • Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and plant operations
  • Ability to work in a shift-based environment
  • Strong communication skills (English required)
