Job Title: Fleet Officer (Luxury Transport Company)

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

• The Fleet Officer will manage and maintain the company’s fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in excellent working condition.
• The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on mechanical experience, specifically with diesel engines, and be able to handle day-to-day fleet operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet operations and vehicle availability
• Carry out routine inspections and ensure vehicles meet quality standards
• Schedule and monitor servicing, maintenance, and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical faults (diesel engines) and coordinate repairs when needed
• Track fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle performance
• Maintain accurate records for servicing, licensing, and compliance
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and provide practical solutions

Experience Areas Required:

• Hands-on diesel engine servicing and repairs
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Engine diagnostics and fault finding
• Automotive electrical systems (basic)
• Fleet maintenance planning and scheduling
• Workshop coordination and vendor management
• Vehicle inspection and roadworthiness compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fleet Officer or similar role
• Must be willing to travel occassionally where necessary
• Strong hands-on mechanical experience with diesel engines (essential)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license.
