Job Title: Facility Officer

Job Purpose
- The Facility Officer is responsible for ensuring that the gym facility is safe, clean, fully functional, and well-maintained at all times.
- The role oversees daily facility operations, equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and vendor coordination to deliver a high-quality experience for members and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are in optimal working condition.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the gym facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of gym equipment, workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and facility assets.
- Supervise cleaning and security personnel to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures within the facility.
- Ensure all emergency equipment and safety systems are functional and accessible.
- Report, document, and follow up on incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues.
- Supervise cleaning staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
- Monitor and enforce cleaning schedules for gym floors, equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and reception areas.
- Ensure availability of adequate cleaning supplies and materials at all times.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
- Supervise contractors during maintenance and installation activities.
- Ensure vendors comply with agreed service levels, quality standards, and timelines. Monitor the condition, usage, and lifecycle of gym equipment and facility assets.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in facility supervision, preferably within a gym, hospitality, or service environment.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance, safety procedures, and equipment management.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
