Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Haulage Service Business Manager to lead and grow our logistics operations.
- The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end haulage activities while driving revenue, profitability, and client acquisition. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset to manage the haulage unit as a profit centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage end-to-end haulage operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence
- Drive business development initiatives to expand client base and increase revenue
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure profitability of the haulage unit
- Monitor financial performance including budgeting, cost control, and profit margins
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Manage fleet operations, maintenance schedules, and regulatory compliance
- Lead and motivate operational teams to achieve business targets
- Prepare and present periodic operational and financial reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in haulage/logistics management
- Proven experience managing a business unit or profit centre
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition and revenue growth
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
