We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Lagos

Core Responsibilities

• Medication Preparation & Dispensing:
  • Accurately fill medication orders for various hospital units, including the Emergency Room and Intensive Care.
  • Prepare sterile compounds, such as IV bags, chemotherapy medications, and pediatric dosages, using aseptic techniques.
  • Label all medications clearly with patient names, dosages, and expiry dates.
• Inventory & Logistics:
  • Restock Dispensing Cabinets.
  • Deliver urgent medications to nursing stations or operating rooms immediately upon request.
  • Monitor stock levels, check for expired drugs, and manage shortages.
• Clinical & Administrative Support:
  • Perform medication reconciliation by gathering patient medication histories upon admission.
  • Enter patient data and prescription details into electronic health records.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Experience: Not less than 3 years work experience in a hospital setting
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of medical terminology and pharmaceutical math for dosage calculations.
• Precision: High attention to detail to prevent medication errors in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Typically requires a high school diploma plus Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB) and, in many regions, state registration or licensing.
• Work Schedule: Must be prepared for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as hospitals operate 24/7.
