Job Title: Marketing & Sales Manager (Media)

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Marketing & Sales Manager to lead revenue generation, client acquisition, brand partnerships, and market expansion across our media platforms.
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong media industry experience, an extensive client network, and a proven track record in advertising sales, sponsorship acquisition, and strategic business growth.
  • The successful candidate will lead the sales and marketing function, drive audience and revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships, and position the organization competitively within the media landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Drive advertising sales, sponsorships, content partnerships, and commercial opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with corporate organizations, agencies, brands, and key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, media agencies, sponsors, and strategic partners.
  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, media pitches, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns and cross-platform commercial solutions for clients.
  • Monitor market trends, audience insights, competitor activities, and emerging media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with editorial, programming, digital, production, and creative teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking engagements, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor the marketing and sales team to ensure high performance and target achievement.
  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts, revenue reports, pipeline updates, and management presentations.
  • Drive brand visibility, audience engagement, and market positioning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development within the Media industry (Digital, TV, Radio, and Print).
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and securing major advertising and sponsorship deals.
  • Strong understanding of media sales, audience analytics, advertising trends, and digital monetization strategies.
  • Extensive network within media agencies, advertisers, corporate organizations, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
