Position Overview

• We are seeking a young and willing to learn Agricultural Engineer to join our team.
• This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with about 3 years of experience.
• The Agricultural Engineer will support the design, testing, and implementation of innovative solutions that improve agricultural processes, machinery, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the construction of greenhouses, ensuring they meet specific agricultural needs and environmental regulations.
• Evaluate and improve physical layout for space optimization, drainage, and airflow.
• Recommend and integrate renewable energy solutions (e.g., solar panels) where feasible.
• Optimizing the use of space and resources within the greenhouse.
• Develop, implement, and monitor climate control systems (heating, ventilation, cooling).
• Monitoring the regular maintenance and repairs of greenhouse machinery and structures, and reporting malfunctions to the responsible parties. Troubleshoot system failures and propose engineering solutions for operational issues.
• Managing and optimizing irrigation systems (including fertigation), heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems to create optimal growing conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering
• 0–3 years of relevant work or internship experience in agricultural systems, farm equipment, or irrigation projects.
• Familiarity with soil science, water management, and crop production systems is an added advantage.
• Willing to learn, problem-solving, and good communication skills.

Salary
N120,000 / Month.
