Job Summary

  • Mshel Homes Limited is seeking a reliable, disciplined, and professional Company Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for staff, management, and clients.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, punctuality, and discretion at all times.
  • This role is critical to supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport company staff, management, and clients to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections to ensure the assigned vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and in excellent working condition
  • Plan and follow efficient routes, accounting for traffic conditions and scheduled appointments
  • Assist with the delivery and pick-up of documents, parcels, or other company materials as directed
  • Maintain a detailed logbook of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records
  • Ensure the vehicle is fuelled, serviced, and maintained in accordance with the company’s vehicle management policy
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times
  • Respond promptly to transportation requests from authorised staff and management
  • Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate authority immediately
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to manage scheduling and prioritise transportation needs
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming vehicle environment for all passengers
  • Safeguard all passengers and company property during transportation
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion when transporting senior management or clients

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND or equivalent educational qualification
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence (Class E or equivalent, covering cars and light trucks)
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offences
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret road maps and use navigation applications
  • Experience driving within Abuja and surrounding areas is an advantage

Skills:

  • Excellent defensive driving skills and strong awareness of road safety
  • Good time management and ability to adhere to strict schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with staff and clients
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or in traffic situations
  • Basic literacy and numeracy to maintain trip logs and records
  • Familiarity with GPS and navigation tools
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion
