Job Title: Electrical & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

  • The Electrical & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of factory machines and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machine maintenance, and fault diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on factory machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and resolve them promptly.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, panels, motors, and control systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production emergencies.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts usage.
  • Support installation and setup of new machines and equipment.
  • Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are properly handled and stored.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years relevant experience in factory machine maintenance and electrical work.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine repair.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Factory/production environment.
  • May require shift work or overtime during machine breakdowns or urgent production schedules.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
