Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time (Onsite)

Job Purpose

• The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting process systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across oil & gas facilities. The role requires strong expertise in process design, simulation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• The Process Engineer ensures compliance with industry standards, identifies operational risks, and provides technical solutions to enhance performance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review process designs, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Perform process simulations, calculations, and equipment sizing to support engineering and operations.
• Monitor plant performance, analyze process data, and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, start‑up, and shutdown activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process upsets and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure process integrity and alignment.
• Prepare technical reports, process safety documentation, and compliance records.
• Support tendering activities by providing process engineering inputs for bids and proposals.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project review meetings, presenting process insights and recommendations.
• Maintain proper documentation, version control, and filing of all process deliverables.
• Carry out any other process engineering duties assigned by the Project Manager or Operations Director.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• Additional certifications in process safety, project controls, or industry frameworks are added advantages.

Experience & Skills:

• 3–7 years experience as a Process Engineer within oil & gas, EPC, or related industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering methodologies, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and separation processes.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to identify process risks and propose workable mitigation strategies.
