We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Public Relations Officer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid

Role Overview

• We are looking for a proactive and relationship-driven individual who will serve as a key representative and public face of the brand.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for brand pitching, strategic relationship management, partnerships, visibility campaigns, and coordination of our sales and marketing efforts.
• This role requires someone who is confident speaking with clients, partners, influencers, brands, vendors, corporate organizations, media partners, and the general public while ensuring IDA Beauty maintains a strong and premium brand image.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage IDA Beauty’s public relations strategy
• Create powerful brand storytelling content that reflects the vision, mission, and identity of the company
• Write press releases, media statements, founder stories, campaign narratives, and brand communications.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, blogs, magazines, influencers, radio, billboards. podcasts, and press platforms
• Coordinate interviews, features, press coverage, and media appearances for the brand and CEO.
• Pitch stories and campaigns to relevant media platforms
• Lead communication for product launches, campaigns, events, collaborations, and company announcements
• Monitor media trends and identify opportunities for brand visibility and public engagement
• Ensure all external communication aligns with the IDA Beauty brand voice and image

Requirements

• Experience in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or Brand Management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong storytelling and writing skills
• Strong understanding of persuasive communication and consumer psychology
• Ability to turn storytelling, brand messaging, and media narratives into visibility, engagement, conversions, and revenue
• Knows how to strategically use words, PR, and storytelling to influence audience perception and drive brand growth
• Ability to create emotionally compelling narratives that convert attention into customer loyalty and sales
• Strong networking and relationship-building ability
• Confident, articulate, and highly professional
• Good understanding of branding, marketing, and social media trends
• Experience working with media houses, blogs, billboards, influencers, or PR campaigns is an advantage
• Experience in the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or luxury industry is an added advantage

Preferred Qualities:

• Passion for women empowerment and beauty branding
• Strong understanding of modern digital culture and storytelling trends.
