Job Title: Head Of Mechanics

Job Summary

• The Head of Mechanic will oversee all mechanical maintenance and engineering activities related to production equipment and profile quality operations within the factory.
• The role is responsible for ensuring machinery efficiency, minimizing downtime, maintaining quality standards, supervising mechanical teams, and driving preventive maintenance initiatives to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Operations & Maintenance
• Lead and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities within the production facility.
• Ensure optimal performance of profile production machinery and related mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine efficiency and recommend improvements for productivity enhancement.

Quality & Production Support:

• Ensure mechanical systems support the production of high-quality profiles in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams to resolve process and equipment-related quality issues.
• Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance compliance.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5years’ experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in profile extrusion, manufacturing, or industrial production environments is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and preventive maintenance.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage extended operational hours.

Salary
N400,000 per month.

Overtime Compensation

• Overtime allowance calculated using 60% of gross salary as the basic rate.
• Weekday overtime: 1.5x hourly rate
• Sunday/Public Holiday overtime: 2x hourly rate.
