Job Description
- SPIE Global Services Energy is looking to strengthen its workforce in Nigeria by recruiting experienced HVAC Senior Technician to join our offshore operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair:
- Service and repair HVAC for control rooms, switchgear rooms etc.
- Maintain positive pressure systems in control rooms to prevent hydrocarbon gas ingress per IECEx/ATEX standards
- Overhaul chillers, packaged units, AHUs, and VRF systems in corrosive saltwater environment
- Standby during drilling and production operations.
Installation & Commissioning:
- Install new HVAC systems and oversee piping, ductwork, and electrical connections
- Commission systems and conduct performance testing before handover to operations
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, and HVAC schematics.
HSE & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with NUPRC safety standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and company HSE policies
- Complete PTW, JSA, and LOTO before working on energized equipment.
Profile
- Must hold recognized OND or equivalents or have completed a recognized trade apprenticeship or verified technician training scheme with a minimum of working experience.
- Experience on offshore oil and gas producing facility, preferable FPSO.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in the field of repair of HVAC & Refrigeration systems.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
