Siperco Nigeria Limited is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Experienced PRMS Gas and Generator Operator

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities and Duties
Daily Responsibilities:

• Change pre-filter daily to ensure efficient system performance.
• Provide operational updates on the designated WhatsApp group every two (2) hours.
• Check and monitor engine oil level gauge daily.
• Carry out hourly routine inspection and monitoring of generator operations, including:
• Monitoring and maintenance of the Generator Human Machine Interface (HMI).
• Monitoring energy distribution.
• Monitoring load level and load percentage. 
• Monitoring engine oil levels.
• Change cascade cylinders in use as required.
• Receive and dispatch trucks in line with operational procedures.
• Monitor gas flow in pipelines and observe gas pressure gauges to ensure stable operations.

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Perform oil top-up and battery replacement where necessary.
• Carry out generator shutdown and gas start-up procedures safely.
• Vent gas lines periodically to maintain operational efficiency.
• Remove filtered oil from gas lines.
• Top up water heater systems.
• Remove sand, stones, and other contaminants from gas lines.

Monthly Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine generator (Gen set) maintenance.
• Top up coolant levels as required.
• Perform routine PRMS (Pressure Regulating and Metering System) maintenance.
• Prepare and submit general monthly operational updates and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures at all times.
• Promptly report faults, abnormalities, or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the work area and equipment environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of O’Level (WAEC / NECO / GCE).
• OND in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field will be an added advantage.
• Trade Test certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Generator Operations, or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in PRMS gas operations and generator management.
• Good knowledge of gas systems, generators, pressure regulation systems, and routine maintenance procedures.
• Ability to monitor operational parameters and respond promptly to faults.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Salary
Negotiable, based on experience and competence.
