Job Title: Tube Mill Operator

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun

Job Summary 

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tube Mill Operator to operate and monitor tube mill machines used in the production of steel pipes and tubes.
• The ideal candidate will ensure smooth production processes, maintain product quality standards, and support equipment efficiency within the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tube mill machines efficiently and safely to achieve production targets.
• Set up and adjust machine parameters, rollers, and tooling for different production specifications.
• Monitor the production process to ensure tubes meet required quality and dimensional standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects, alignment, thickness, and welding quality.
• Perform routine machine checks, lubrication, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot operational faults and report major technical issues promptly.
• Ensure proper feeding of raw materials into the production line.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, and maintenance records.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with maintenance and quality control teams to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND/Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ proven experience operating tube mill machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of tube production processes, machine setup, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
• Familiarity with welding and rolling processes is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Good attention to detail and quality control standards.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work shifts when required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in steel, pipe, or industrial manufacturing companies.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
