Job Title: Procurement Officer / Buyer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Role Summary

• The Procurement Officer / Buyer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the flow of goods, materials, and information from suppliers through to customers, ensuring the business operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably.
• At a high level, the role sits at the center of procurement, logistics, inventory, and operations, making sure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Procurement: securing reliable suppliers and negotiating cost-effective terms.
• Inventory Management: maintaining optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess.
• Logistics & Distribution: ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods to the supermarket and pharmacy.
• Demand & Supply Planning: aligning supply with business and customer demand.
• Cost Optimization: reducing supply chain costs without compromising quality or service.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: building strong, reliable partnerships.
• Risk Management: identifying and mitigating disruptions (delays, shortages, price volatility).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4years of extensive experience in Supply chain management,(preferable in the Supermarket and Pharmacy industry).
• Proven experience in negotiating with vendorsand managing supplier relationships.
• Experience in inventory management, warehousing, and transportation planning in the supermarket industrial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Strategic sourcing - Ability to identify and engage with reliable suppliers.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision making skills.
• Stakeholder management.

Benefits

• Salary: N300,000 - N400,000 Gross Monthly.
• Pension + HMO + Feeding + 13th Months etc.
