We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Welder

Ref. ID: R179547
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out structural welding, fabrication, and repairs on container‑handling and workshop equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment safety and availability.
  • Repair defects based on examiner defect lists and breakdown reports.
  • Support mechanics and electricians during maintenance and major equipment failures.
  • Complete work orders, confirmation slips, and maintenance records accurately.
  • Follow HSSE rules, safe working procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Work shifts and standby duties to support 24‑hour terminal operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Continuous improvement mindset: willingness to improve safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Qualified coded welder with relevant certification.
  • 3–5 years of welding experience in ports, mines, steel, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, gas welding, flame cutting, and brazing.
  • Ability to read welding procedures, drawings, and maintenance instructions
  • Willingness to respond to emergency repairs and work with minimal supervision.
