Job Summary

• The Senior Treasury Officer will be responsible for overseeing treasury operations, cash flow planning, banking activities, and financial risk management to ensure efficient utilization of company funds.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong treasury management experience within manufacturing companies, with excellent analytical skills, banking relationship management, and financial control capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the company’s daily cash flow and liquidity position
• Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic planning
• Oversee all banking transactions including transfers, payments, collections, and reconciliations
• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, statutory obligations, salaries, and other financial commitments
• Maintain effective relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Monitor company bank accounts and optimize cash utilization across all accounts
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports for management review
• Perform and review bank reconciliations, ensuring prompt resolution of reconciling items
• Support working capital management and ensure availability of funds for business operations
• Monitor loan facilities, repayment schedules, interest charges, and other financial obligations
• Coordinate foreign exchange transactions and monitor exchange rate exposure where applicable
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and financial procedures
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to treasury operations
• Assist in negotiating banking services, charges, and financial facilities
• Maintain accurate treasury records, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Support internal and external audits by providing treasury-related reports and reconciliations
• Identify and implement improvements in treasury processes, controls, and reporting systems
• Supervise and guide junior treasury staff where applicable

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• ICAN, ACCA, or related professional certification is preferred

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in treasury or finance operations within manufacturing companies
• Strong knowledge of treasury management, banking operations, cash flow forecasting, and financial controls
• Experience in FMCG, poultry, agriculture, or industrial manufacturing industries is highly preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and treasury reporting processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial analysis tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
