Job Title: Neurologist - Consultant

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Neurologist Specialist to join our medical team.
  • The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles while providing high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, headaches, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, neuropathies, and multiple sclerosis.
  • Conduct neurological examinations and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, CT scans, and MRI results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide consultation services to other medical practitioners.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical audits.
  • Educate patients and families on neurological conditions and preventive care.
  • Supervise junior medical staff where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with medical ethics, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Fellowship in Neurology from a recognized institution.
  • Valid practicing license with the appropriate Medical and Dental Council/Regulatory Authority.
  • Additional certifications in neurological subspecialties will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of [X] years post-specialization experience in Neurology.
  • Experience in hospital or specialist clinical practice preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex neurological cases.
