We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Building Engineer

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Building Engineer who will be responsible for the technical execution of construction activities on site, ensuring that all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, timelines and quality standards.
  • This role acts as the on-site technical authority, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring construction integrity across all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities
Site Execution Oversight:

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
  • Monitor progress against programme

Technical Coordination:

  • Resolve technical issues on-site
  • Liaise with design team (Multixept) on clarifications
  • Ensure coordination across structural, architectural and MEP works.
  • Understanding of different foundations.

Quality Control:

  • Enforce quality standards across all trades
  • Inspect works and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Identify and correct defects

Contractor & Workforce Management:

  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors and site teams
  • Ensure productivity and adherence to schedule
  • Enforce discipline and site protocols

Materials & Resources:

  • Monitor material usage and site inventory
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials
  • Verify materials meet required specifications

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce HSE standards on site
  • Ensure safe working practices
  • Report and manage incidents

Requirements

  • 4–7 years experience in construction
  • Engineering or construction background
  • Strong attention to detail
  • COREN certified
  • Experience managing multiple trades
  • Strong site coordination capability
  • Maintain site documentation
  • Availability to travel very important
