We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Mushin, Lagos 

Job Summary

  • The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring daily transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial information for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Record daily sales, expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
  • Prepare monthly payroll and statutory deductions.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Monitor inventory and production cost records.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, VAT, PAYE, pension, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and government agencies when required.
  • Track company expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Support internal control procedures to prevent fraud and financial loss.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of financial records and reports.
  • Timely preparation of payroll and statutory remittances.
  • Effective cash flow management.
  • Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Reduction in financial errors and losses.
  • Timely bank reconciliation and reporting.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • ICAN, ACCA, or ATS certification is an added advantage.
  • 2–5 years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG company.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and payroll management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Remuneration
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly
