We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Risk Recovery Officer

Locations: Edo, Ekiti, Kaduna, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, and Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Risk and Collection Department
Reports To: Risk Recovery Executive

Role Summary

• The Risk Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts, conducting field investigations, protecting company assets, supporting compliance with operational policies, and reducing financial risk within the assigned state.
• This role is field-intensive and requires strong recovery, investigative, and reporting skills.
• The officer will work closely with Direct Sales Agents (DSAs), Installers, Service Center Representatives (SCR), and State Sales Managers to ensure repayment performance and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Monitoring & Recovery:

• Monitor assigned overdue customer accounts.
• Conduct physical visits to delinquent customers.
• Capture timestamped and geolocation evidence during field visits.
• Verify customer identity, product presence, and payment history.
• Negotiate structured repayment arrangements within company guidelines.
• Identify and act on accounts eligible for repossession.
• Execute repossession professionally where required.
• Ensure proper documentation and safe transfer of recovered assets.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and overdue rates.

Fraud Detection & Field Investigation:

• Investigate first-level fraud cases, including product tampering, system bypass, and suspicious onboarding activities.
• Verify authenticity of customer documentation and installation records.
• Identify potential data manipulation within the BluettiGo App.
• Submit structured investigation reports with evidence.
• Recommend corrective actions to the Risk Recovery Executive.

Field Compliance & App Governance:
Train and guide Direct Sales Agents (DSAs) on:

• Proper customer onboarding
• Accurate KYC documentation
• Correct use of the BluettiGo App
• Overdue management procedures
• Monitor compliance with company onboarding and recovery processes.
• Identify process gaps and escalate accordingly.
• Support correction of inaccurately captured customer records.

First-Level Technical Verification:

• Conduct preliminary checks for customers reporting product faults.
• Distinguish between genuine technical issues and payment-related lock situations.
• Escalate confirmed technical faults to the technical team.
• Prevent misuse of fault claims to avoid repayment.

Reporting & Collaboration

• Submit daily field activity reports.
• Provide weekly recovery updates.
• Prepare monthly risk and portfolio performance summaries.
• Participate in state review meetings.
• Collaborate effectively with DSAs, SCRs, Installers, and State Sales Managers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated based on:

• Reduction in overdue rate and Portfolio at Risk (PAR)
• Monthly recovery performance against assigned targets
• Timely execution of eligible repossessions
• Quality and timeliness of fraud investigations
• Improvement in DSA compliance and data accuracy
• Accuracy and punctuality of reporting
• Professional conduct and adherence to company policies

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in collections, credit risk, recovery, or field operations.
• Experience in PAYGO solar, asset financing, or microcredit is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of solar systems is desirable.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned state.
