Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist (Chemical Pathology)

Description

• The Medical Laboratory Scientist (Chemical Pathology) will be responsible for conducting routine and specialized chemical pathology investigations to support accurate diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and quality patient care in line with established laboratory standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized chemical pathology tests and analyses.
• Analyze, interpret, and validate laboratory results accurately and promptly.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Process blood and other biological specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance, infection prevention, and laboratory safety standards.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient management.
• Participate in internal and external quality control programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BMLS in Medical Laboratory Science with specialization in Chemical Pathology.
• Valid and current MLSCN practicing license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-NYSC experience.
• Strong analytical and technical competence.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
