Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: Bompai, Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, sorting, loading, and unloading products.
• The goal is to maintain an organized storage system, ensure inventory accuracy, and prepare orders for dispatch with high efficiency.
• Unload incoming shipments from delivery trucks using appropriate tools (trolleys, forklifts, or pallet jacks).
• Inspect received goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies against the delivery note or purchase order.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to the company’s storage plan.
• Pick and pack orders accurately from stock according to pick slips or invoices.
• Prepare items for shipping by weighing, labeling, and wrapping pallets as necessary.
• Assist in loading outgoing vehicles to ensure space is optimized and goods are secured for transit.
• Assist in periodic stock-taking and cycle counting to ensure physical stock matches the digital records.
• Report any low-stock levels or missing items to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain clear and updated labels on all storage bins and racks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards (e.g., clearing empty boxes, cleaning spills).
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Operate warehouse machinery (forklifts, reach trucks) only if certified and in a safe manner.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 per month.
