We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer - 2W & 3W Automoblie Assembly

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Assembly Line Quality Control:

  • Conduct in-process inspections at critical assembly stages (chassis, engine fitment, electrical wiring, body assembly, final finishing).
  • Verify adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Ensure torque settings, alignments, and fittings meet specifications.

Final Vehicle Inspection (PDI – Pre-Delivery Inspection):

  • Perform comprehensive final inspection of assembled 3-wheelers before dispatch.
  • Check engine performance, braking system, electricals, suspension, and overall build quality.
  • Approve units for release or escalate non-conformities.

Defect Identification & Root Cause Analysis:

  • Identify defects, non-conformities, and assembly errors.
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto.
  • Implement and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Process Quality Monitoring:

  • Monitor assembly processes to ensure consistency and quality output.
  • Work closely with production supervisors to address deviations immediately.
  • Ensure first-time-right (FTR) approach is followed on the line.

Incoming Material & Kit Inspection:

  • Inspect kits and components supplied to the assembly line (CKD/SKD parts).
  • Identify and report defective or non-conforming materials.
  • Coordinate with stores and procurement for resolution.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain daily inspection reports, defect logs, and quality dashboards.
  • Track KPIs such as defect rates, rework levels, and First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Prepare periodic quality performance reports for management review.

Compliance & Audit Support:

  • Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and automotive regulations.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation for traceability and compliance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive initiatives to reduce assembly defects and improve productivity.
  • Participate in Lean/Kaizen activities on the shop floor.
  • Recommend process and tooling improvements.

Training & Quality Awareness:

  • Train assembly line workers on quality standards and defect prevention.
  • Promote a “zero-defect” and “right-first-time” culture.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years experience.
